Shirley Wong
Shirley (@shirleyaerialist) is a circus artist specializing in aerial acrobatics. After graduating from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, she pursued a full-time contemporary dance career before discovering aerial in 2012. Known for her dynamic power and authentic style on silks and rope, Shirley explores the intersection of dance and contemporary circus in her creations. Based at Starz Aerial Dance School in Singapore, she has been teaching and performing internationally; traveling extensively across Asia, Europe, Australia and America while continuously seeking new perspectives in coaching and circus arts.
Workshop 1: Dynamic Drops and Signature Sequences (Silk)

Workshop Description: Ideal for aerialists looking to expand their vocabulary with high-impact, visually striking movements, this workshop will cover tempo transitions and dynamic drops, providing participants with a deeper understanding of momentum work and how to harness it for fluidity and precision. Participants will also learn Shirley's signature power moves and sequences with key guidance in safety of movements and performative quality.
