The Story Behind Viva Circus Festival
Let’s rewind to 2008. We kicked off with a pole competition in partnership with Clorets Malaysia, and it was just the beginning of an incredible journey.
What started as Pole Stars Malaysia quickly grew into the Malaysia Pole Championship, expanding our reach and inviting international talent. As our dreams evolved, we debut Collision Arts Asia Festival in 2011 - the first event in Malaysia that bridged music, performing arts, painting, martial arts, and dance. In 2019, we took action to make the competition more inclusive, adding aerial arts to the mix and rebranding as the Viva Circus Awards (competition only) and Viva Circus Festival.
Our mission has always been to build a supportive, creative community and showcase top potential. From local roots to a global stage, our festival is about pushing boundaries, celebrating the arts, and growing together.
